found on a greeting card...

...on a client's refrigerator. One of the interesting things about my job is that we sometimes visit our clients' homes, measuring what's there. We walk right into life-as-it-is, house as it's lived in, no straightening up as for company. Just... life. It was arresting enough to record.

"The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware." Henry Miller

That's a wonderful thing to think about everytime you open the 'fridge!

I have that quote on a magnet in my office. My wife bought it for me years ago; I would say before either of us had any idea what it meant.

Really... Really... Nice one Julie...! Thanks! "... joyously, drunkenly, serenely, devinely aware..." God, that is good! (no pun intended) :)

Thanks, all. I like it too.

Even though it means being immersed in what really...isn't...there. I don't know quite what to do about that part, because the experience of life can be so interesting, so enjoyable. Even though it's not quite real. I would really rather not think about that part.

Haha, as do I, Andrew - and my wife bought it for me too.

Good stuff.
