It is raining.

God told me once that He was going to rain down His presence and saturate the earth with it.

It is raining.

It has been raining all along.

I just didn't feel it before.

Hi Julie-

Thank you for your comment on my blog. The part you mentioned is a chant, the Hare Krishna chant.

Hare means, "bringing- or bring, or realizing God's spirit/ presence" and Krishna and Rama are the divine names of God.

Waking to the presence of All-ness, the raining of God's presence... is a beautiful thing.

Shanti-

Thanks for the beautiful reminder.

I wonder how much more I can see by re-directing my attention.

Rain.
Sweet liquid.
Softening my tight jaw.
Warming my aching heart.

Falling so very gently now.
Tender drops of mercy
for everyone,
for me.

Rain or shine. It shouldn't make much difference. We need both.

I live a small town in southern Oregon. This winter we have had so many days of rain... the fields and riverbanks have flooded.

There are some sweet lines from the Bhagavad Gita that remind me of the land here:

Just as a reservoir is of little use
when the whole countryside is flooded,
Scriptures are of little use to the illumined man or woman,
who sees the Lord everywhere.

I enjoy bringing forth Presence, the greater and most wonderful Source, reminding us with each rainfall and each flooded field of the saturating quality of Presence amongst us. We don't need anyone to tell us it is true - we can see it everywhere.
