You see yourself.

As we are, so do we see.
-William Blake

Food for thought - defend or refute? - I meant to post this (it was the peace quote of the day) last week.

Sort of true, but more like we project our past, which we are of course, but are also NOT to be, so we already aren't what or how we see.

Make sense?

From the Yoga Sutra:

Yoga is to still the patterning of consciousness. Then, pure awareness can abide in its very nature. Otherwise, awareness takes itself to be the patterns of consciousness.

Yep, I agree with it. Suspicious people see suspects everywhere. Fearful people see danger everywhere. Loving people see charm everywhere. Angry people see provocation everywhere. Happy people see amusement everywhere.

I can't help but ask myself..."Who is doing the seeing?"

I've always held this quote by Blake as a "silent" lesson in consciousness.

Yes, I defend... but!
