We want it to be cut and dried.
We want it to be easy,
we want it to be certain.
We want to follow the enumerated directions,
and to end up with biscuits.

Happy critters who sleep where humans might be bored and restless?

yep. Mystery is unknown. Who knows what might happen there, LOL. We humans learn through bumps and bruises to cut back on our explorations, and stay within the circle of firelight.

Dogs follow the leader, but it was the "to end up with biscuits" that made me think of dog biscuits as a reward because that is what you mean, to end up with the rewards by following the directions or procedure.
